David Upton
David Upton’s career spans over 25 years in technology services while maintaining a presence in music entertainment and ministry. Everyone that knows David confirms a strong heart and passion for life as well as natural leadership ability in both corporate and creative venues. He is seasoned executive with an impeccable reputation, strong relationships and proven management skills, gifted at removing complexity in difficult business scenarios.
As a musician, David has spent over 20 years recording and performing as a vocalist, guitarist and producer. This passion has blended with his heart for ministry in the church … where he served in various worship pastor positions, including Saddleback Church, In Lake Forest, CA. His music has allowed him to travel the country leading worship as a successful “Indie Recording Artist”, performing concerts and releasing multiple independent recording projects.
David is an accomplished songwriter with a significant catalog of recorded songs. His songwriting has been highlighted on both Christian and secular radio and has been recognized as a noteworthy impact to the music industry over the last couple decades.
David also spent a large portion of his career mentoring up-and-coming artists and worship leaders. He spent several years working with Dove Award winner, Colton Dixon during his formative years leading up the life changing experience that Colton experienced during Season 12 of the “American Idol” television show. David worked diligently with Colton, immediately following his Idol experience to align him with many of the producers and industry relationships that propelled him to success.
David serves as the chief executive of Right Path Productions, LLC as well as a direct contributor to the management of our artists, producers, songwriters and engineers. He also provides the spiritual leadership and guidance to help our clients remain loyal and confident in the ministry path of their music careers.
Sabrina Upton
Sabrina has many successes throughout her 25-year career as an Entrepreneur, Sales & Marketing executive and has earned an impeccable reputation as a tenacious go-getter with a strong sense of character and integrity to simply “get the job done”!
Sabrina has extensive experience in the music business, from building a booking agency from the ground up to various Independent Label management roles including tour management, Artist and Repertoire consulting, contract negotiations, merchandise development and sales and general counseling of several up and coming artists.
Sabrina graduated with her Juris Doctorate of Law from Trinity Law School and has served in multiple capacities in the legal field. She worked with multiple law firms in the family law field and served in a copyright infringement legal group. She has a unique approach and attitude toward achieving what our clients need and desire without compromising the integrity of their ministry. Most recently, she has been managing and consulting musicians, songwriters and producers on the more intricate aspects of their music business contracts, arbitration and risk mitigation.
In addition to her role in Artist Management at Right Path, Sabrina serves as our legal liaison to our house attorney's and strategic partners. Our artists leverage her to take the complicated discussions off their plate and allow them to focus on their creativity and relationships, all the while ensuring that our clients are protected from the potential business and legal risks that may arise in the often-litigious business climate of the music industry.
Keith Everette Smith
Keith is a Grammy winning and Dove Award winning producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, teacher and a member of TobyMac's Diverse City Band. If there’s one thread that comes through everything he does, it’s that he’s good at seeing potential, envisioning where to go and helping lead people there. He is an activator.
Keith is a lifelong trumpet player whose understanding of music, recording and performer development positions him as a sought after session player and arranger. As a producer, Keith has a track record of success both within and outside of the church. He has worked with artist like Hillary Scott, Bethel Music Collective, Jack White, The Jonas Brothers, TobyMac, Plumb, Jeremy Camp, Dave Barnes, MercyMe, Amy Grant, Marc Broussard and many others. He has also played on soundtracks and scores for movies and television including “The Lone Ranger”, “The Jersey Boys”, "Degrassi", commercials for SoBe, and produced music for the 2016 People's Choice Awards.
Keith has served on staff at churches like Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TN and Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. He is currently the network manager for Ascension Worship in Nashville, a community of musicians sent out on behalf of their home churches to serve other churches in need of worshipping musicians.
Keith serves Right Path as our Director of Production, managing all aspects of our clients’ studio production, songwriting and engineering to produce the absolute best music and performance that each of our artists are capable of and wrapping it all together into the appropriate musical landscape for the consumption of their fans.
